Gefion Dog Training are amazing. I started with my Newfoundland, Dolly, at puppy classes and with the help of Teresa, she qualified through her levels and became a Pets as Therapy dog at 9 months old. She now volunteers at Great Ormond Street and is beautifully behaved around the sick children. I’ve just got another baby Newfoundland, Dave, and we’ve returned to Gefion to start his training on his journey to become a Therapy dog too. Thanks always to Gefion for their wonderful assistance.

Dudley started his training journey in the puppy foundation classes when he was 16 weeks old. He is now 13 months old and has successfully passed his Puppy Foundation, Bronze, Silver and Gold certificates with the help, advice and patience of Theresa, Karen and Ron. Thank you all so much. We’re now looking forward to starting on our Platinum level 1.

I was aware, when I moved To Kent 10 years ago, that Gefion DTC has a good reputation, but it wasnt until recently, that I was able to attend classes, and judge for myself.
I wasnt disappointed!
The small group classes are welcoming, fun and supportive, working to the ability of each individual ‘team’ within class, building confidence and bond between dog/handler.

I don’t hesitate to recommend Gefion DTC to others.

I have attended Gefion over many years with both of my Soringer spaniels passing up to Platinum Level 2 with each dog. The training, friendliness, help and advice given has always been excellent as it is a very well run professional club. Sadly I am unable to continue at the moment due to health issues and both I and my youngest dog miss it terribly. I would have no hesitation in recommending this club to anyone.

Have trained 9 of our Dalmatians with Ron and Teresa at Gefion since 2002. The first 3 all passed Gold GC the 4th reached Silver and they all trained and competed in lower levels of obedience. Dog 5 did puppy socialisation but sadly died before starting bronze. 6,7, & 8 all passed Gold GC and 9 the last one has passed Bronze at 8 months and now training for Silver. All positive reward training for both handler and dog which is fun.

When I first met Teresa I had adopted a 7 month old border collie cross from Romania and was struggling with her training. Teresa helped me to learn techniques to help me to get my willful puppy to listen to me and to come when called. This was brilliant because Jess wouldn’t come in from the garden at night and I was really struggling with what to do. I got a 2nd dog from Romania about 6 months after who had been in a shelter for 2 years and was frightened of everything. Teresa also helped us with techniques to help her and I can see her confidence growing every day and Lou now happily plays and lays out in the garden. I am well on the way to having 2 relaxed, happy dogs and this wouldn’t have been possible without Teresa. She has a wonderful manner with dogs and both of my girls really like her.

I have recently completed the foundation puppy course. Throughly enjoyed it and feel alot more confident with how train my cocker spaniel. Teresa and the team have been friendly, fun and informative and we are looking forward to continuing our learning on the bronze course.

Welcoming and friendly

I have trained my dogs with the help of Gefion for more than 20 years. They helped me get seven dogs through the Kennel Club Good Citizens scheme with positive reward based training, and introduced us to obedience competitions, Rally Obedience and scentwork. We also did exhibitions at Discover Dogs and Crufts. They are welcoming and friendly, and make their classes fun.
